Born in Rio de Janeiro in 2011, movin is a brand focused on quality basics in the black and white palette, developed from sustainable materials (a.k.a. “smart materials”) which, among other things, reduce or eliminate water consumption, harmful chemicals, and carbon emissions in the production process.
Organic, recycled, non-traditional and innovative raw materials are the basis of movin, and the brand sources textiles that do not degrade the environment. They value transparency and share all operational data – including costs, sourcing and attributes – with the consumer. Through rethinking product concepts and applying a design strategy that minimizes social and environmental impacts, movin seeks solutions for smarter consumption and a cleaner, functional and collective lifestyle. Like Fauna, movin believes that consumption is also a political and social statement: your individual choices influence the common good.
Movin was the first Brazilian fashion brand to be certified as a B-Corporation, which by definition is a for-profit company certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
